Two‑for‑Two: Theodor Jensen and CLX Motorsport Extend ELMS Lead with Victory at Le Castellet

There’s no stopping the #17 CLX Motorsport. After starting the season by conquering Barcelona, Theodor Jensen, Paul Lanchère, and Adrien Closmenil repeated the feat in style at the 4 Hours of Le Castellet, claiming pole position and a commanding win in treacherous wet‑dry conditions. The result hands the trio maximum points once again and cements a healthy early lead at the top of the 2025 ELMS LMP3 standings.

Pole, Pace and Perfect Execution

Saturdays’s qualifying session set the tone when Adrien Closmenil hustled the turbo‑charged Ligier JS P325‑Toyota to pole for the second race in a row. Race day itself brought heavy rain moments before the start, turning tyre strategy into a high‑stakes gamble, yet the Swiss‑run squad never lost its footing.

Paul Lanchère opened the four‑hour contest and, with visibility at a premium, steered the #17 safely through the early spray and incidents while rivals wrestled with their tyre choices. After two hours, Theodor Jensen climbed aboard and immediately delivered the drive of the race, slicing through traffic on a drying track and posting the fastest average lap time in the LMP3 field. A perfectly timed stop then returned the car to Closmenil for the run to the flag.

In the final stint, Closmenil mastered the switch to slicks, edging clear of the chasing M Racing Ligier and stretching the advantage to almost 25 seconds before crossing the line as dusk fell over Provence.

“That was endurance racing at its best,” Theodor smiled afterwards. “The weather kept everyone guessing, but the team nailed it. Two wins from two gives us real momentum, and I’m already thinking about Imola in July!”

Championship Picture

With back‑to‑back pole positions and race wins, CLX Motorsport leaves Le Castellet with 52 points from a possible 52 – a dream start that sees the #17 crew open a double‑digit cushion in the championship before round 3.

Rising Star on a Roll

At just 18, Theodor Jensen is turning heads across Europe’s endurance community. Fresh off his Asian Le Mans title and Le Mans Cup successes, he’s now unbeaten in ELMS competition, displaying composure in the wet, relentless pace on slicks and the kind of race‑craft that wins championships.

“We’re pushing each other to get better every session,” he added. “The goal is clear: keep this streak alive and carry maximum confidence into Imola and the rest of the ELMS season.”

With two flawless victories in the books, all eyes now turn to the next ELMS round at Imola on 6 July. The #17 crew arrives in Italy as the championship leader, but every rival in the paddock will be hunting for a response. For Theodor Jensen and CLX Motorsport, the objective is clear: keep the momentum alive, defend the points advantage, and take another decisive step toward the 2025 LMP3 crown.
