Momentum Building: Theodor Jensen Set for ELMS Season Opener in Barcelona
Theodor Jensen enters the opening round of the 2025 European Le Mans Series with confidence and determination after a packed and productive month of testing and early race action. With eight test days under his belt – including the official ELMS pre-season sessions at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya – the young Dane has found strong rhythm in the CLX Motorsport #17 LMP3 car.
The recent tests have shown clear signs of progress and pace. Across both official test days in Barcelona, the car consistently ranked among the quickest on average, and on Tuesday, the team clocked the outright fastest time. Theodor’s focus during the sessions was largely on long runs and race simulations, where his pace stood out strongly across multiple days. Despite running on fewer new tyre sets than others in the field, he delivered consistent performance and valuable feedback – a key factor in the team’s solid pre-season preparations.
In the lead-up to the Barcelona test, Theodor also took part in the first round of the European Endurance Sprint Cup at Circuit Paul Ricard. Together with teammate Dan Skocdopole in the Bretton Racing car, the duo secured victories in both races – a great confidence boost and a promising sign of what’s to come in 2025.
Now, attention turns to the first round of the ELMS season this weekend, back at Barcelona. For Theodor, the anticipation is high.
“I’m really looking forward to finally getting the ELMS season started,” he says. “We’ve had some strong test days, and I feel comfortable in the car and with the team. Everything has been building up well over the last few weeks. The preparation has been great, and I’m excited to get back on track and start racing for real.”
With strong momentum, solid preparation, and eyes set on results, Theodor Jensen is ready to make his mark as the 2025 ELMS campaign gets underway.
